Artists such as Derain, Van Gogh, Vlaminck, Bonnard unleashed color and pattern in unprecedented ways. Their work is loose, gestural and inspires us all. This class not only gives us a chance to investigate some of the most colorful and exciting paintings ever created, it gives us a chance to hold onto their brush and try our hand at painting their styles.
Lots of opportunity to try your hand at samples of a variety of watermedia. You are encouraged to paint in your preferred medium--watercolor, gouache, acrylic. Critiques and homework participation encouraged. Questions?: click here to email me.
